Baby Finn is Here!

I apologize for the rather long un-planned hiatus. After a fairly hard last trimester Finnegan Logan Tomek is finally here! I had to be induced a little more than 3 weeks early due to complications with the pregnancy. The weeks that followed were pretty hectic and included a return visit to the hospital, along with a few echocardiograms after the pediatrician detected a heart murmur. Finn is growing well and things are a a bit more stable, so hopefully I can get it together and start posting again. With that said, here are a few photos of Finn:

Our Nursery Buys So Far...

The Dinosaur decals are from lovemaestore on etsy - she has some fabulous other one's as well. We just found out yesterday we're having a boy. I immediately ordered these as I've had my eye on them for quite some time. The fabric is from the Heather Ross Mendocino collection; I purchased it from etsy seller: fabricworm. I *think* I'll be using it to make a banner for the room, but it's still all up in the air. And the last etsy item (the elephant) was my first purchase for our nursery all the way back in February. I bought it from etsy seller silocurb.

As for the crib and changing table - both local finds. I may or may not end up painting either one. My pregnancy brain is not exactly running at full capacity at the moment.

Softest Blanket of Them All

I recently purchased, not one but two Aden and Anais dream blankets. I was able to get them each 50% off through a site called Baby Steals. They came in the mail today and they are well worth the price. Because they are muslin they are supposed to get softer each time you wash them. I can tell you that they are already incredibly soft straight out of the package. Just how a baby blanket is supposed to feel. There are several different patterns to choose from, but because I do not know the sex of our baby yet, I went with the two pictured above. Now if only I can get my hands on some of the wraps.

Where Have I Been?

I've been going through some rough patches with my pregnancy these past few weeks, which is why I took some time off from the blog. Rest assured I'll be returning, and returning soon, but may not be updating as often as I previously was. I just wanted to thank all of my visitors for being so patient with my lack of updates.

News Flash!

I'm not sure if you can quite tell by the blurry photo, but I haven't been posting much because I have been sick as a dog everyday for the past week and a half. Besides that, my husband I couldn't be more thrilled with this news. I know the line looks daint there, but that was only the first of many tests I've taken over the past two and a half week. The line is definately there!
